pspi

i got pspi plugin its not showing up in gimp restarted the program numerous times still no go

Care to share what all you have done or tried to do in installing PSPI? What version of GIMP, what OS, what version of PSPI?

pspi.exe goes in the plugins folder of %USERPROFILE%\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins\
on xp that's C:\Documents and Settings\MYUSERNAME\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins\
but for vista/7/8 I think it goes in C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins\

pspi works on 2.6.11 on windows xp pro sp3 32-bit. I am using the GIMP binary distribution from
http://sf.net/projects/gimp-win/files/
version of gimp 2.6.11.
I am distributing this GIMP with many GIMP Open Source plugins as GIMP Massive Package 2.6.11 at
http://jesusnjim.com/code/windows-mac/gimp-massive-package.html
pspi shows up under the Filters menu as "Photoshop Plug-in Settings". once you set the folder for the photoshop plugins directory where your 8bf's are, you are all set up. restart GIMP and your plugins will appear in the filters menu.

a lot of commercial 8bf plugins need their MSVCRT10.dll and plugins.dll from my photoshop to be in the plugins directory in order for GIMP to even start up. once it does, you get a scrollable menu.

PSPI loads in 2.6.11, but many filters fail with nasty errors and complaints about there not being a suitable plugin host and hang the pspi.exe program so it has to be killed with the task manager.

This was NOT the case with 2.6.10
